Expectations have been huge, with regard to Baltasar Kormakur’s latest film, ‘The Deep’, the action-packed story of a nightmare at sea. Based on the real life event, where a fishing trawler, in 1984, lost its bearings and sailed into one of the most treacherous expanses of sea in the world. Kormakur’s vision presents us with a violent drama about the mythological struggle of mankind against nature. The film has garnered nothing but success, since its premiere at Toronto Film Festival last year, and is contracted for Danish cinema distribution later this year.
See it before your local fisherman!
