Film Music in the Making
What happens when film directors, musicians and composers open up their creative process in the midst of it? A film crew has been following this experiment of music and film making, where three jazz, world and folk orchestras are paired with three directors with the goal of composing music live in the studio.
The film provides insight into their first meeting, the dialogue throughout a day in the studio as well as the final product. The film features director Christina Christensen and the music collective Bagdad Beat, director Johan Knattrup Jensen and the vocal ensemble IKI consisting of seven women, and director Martin Barnewitz and the folk band Fjärin.
Behind the project are JazzDanmark, WMD, KODA, ROSA’s Secretariat for Folk Music, and CPH Pix.
