Ásgeir Trausti (IS)

The soft guitar and the passionate outbursts have made people compare Ásgeir Trausti with Justin Vernon. The music is folky, but has the electronic elements which Iceland has long been a hotspot for. The debut ”Dýrð í dauðaþögn” was praised as one of last year’s best Nordic releases and lead to a lot of festival activity. And on his home-island the album was sold out a week after the release.
