SPOT launches new interactive conference and film festival alongside its music division
Vasilis PanagiotopoulosSPOT MUSIC, FILM & INTERACTIVE is a brand-new collaborative project with the objective to create Scandinavia’s strongest and most significant festival focusing on music, film and interactive technologies. In order to achieve this, SPOT has teamed up with music platform Promus, cross-media network Shareplay and Filmby Aarhus, the heart of film and media production in Jutland.
More concretely the following events will take place:
SPOT Film: a film festival that will take place on 1-2 May and will focus on new talented film-makers from the entire Nordic region.

SPOT Interactive: Taking place on 2 May at Godsbanen, SPOT Interactive will feature digital content creators, people within advertising, communication and marketing, brand managers, innovation managers, developers and everybody interested in how to design and develop interactive media experiences and reach new audiences. At the SPOT Interactive Conference you will get to meet successful International and Danish media innovators, who will share their experiences and valuable insights on the above and give their perspectives on content marketing and audience engagement.

SPOT Music: SPOT’s regular music programme will unfold on 3-4 May in central Aarhus and will feature over 100 concerts by Danish and Nordic acts.

“It’s not tomorrow, but today that Aarhus must start the fight to establish itself on the European cultural map, as a growth generator or as vehicle for knowledge and innovation. The specific goals are many – but the currency is common: music, film and interactive media; cultural and professional siblings,” said SPOT-director Gunnar Madsen.
